Netherlands at Smart City

Barcelona

Outline

On our third collaboration, we assumed responsibility for the development and set-up of the Netherlands exhibition at Smart City 2023 in Barcelona.

Case

At Smart City 2023, the Netherlands pavilion faced the challenge of showcasing 15 exhibitors, each presenting distinct and innovative approaches to urban innovation and city development. The booth was meticulously crafted based on the client's design, with our team tasked with its construction and execution. Despite the complexity of integrating multiple exhibitors' visions, our team ensured seamless coordination and precise execution, resulting in a standout display that effectively highlighted the Netherlands' commitment to shaping smarter, more sustainable cities.

Since its inception in 2011, the Smart City Expo World Congress has emerged as a pivotal event in Barcelona, designed as a global platform to ignite discussions on urban innovation and city development. The expo seeks to inspire fresh insights into the future of cities and enhance the quality of life for residents by fostering an inclusive exchange of ideas among global leaders.

Smart City convenes annually, with the Netherlands Pavilion becoming a recurring highlight, harnessing this platform to enrich discourse and drive advancements toward smarter, more inclusive urban environments each year.

I enjoy working with Iventions because of their flexibility, which makes the process very smooth.

Work process

This year’s booth design centered around the concept of ecosystems, symbolising the diverse facets of urban innovation and city development, with strong support from various exhibitors. The challenge we faced was orchestrating a booth that seamlessly integrated numerous elements within a condensed timeframe. The Netherlands area ambitiously showcased over 15 exhibitors and companies, each presenting a unique yet interconnected story to create smarter cities.

The stand layout was designed by the client and featured essential a storage area, a designated bar corner, a demo station and counter, while also featuring a fully operational bar. Additionally, individual stations were dedicated to the participating companies, effectively highlighting their unique contributions to the theme. A captivating product exhibition and a prominent video wall further enhanced the overall booth experience, engaging visitors and facilitating interactions.

Despite the complexity our team executed the stand built and set-up with precision and efficiency. Each exhibitor’s story was thoughtfully displayed to demonstrate their unique contributions to the advancement of Smart Cities.

It's truly gratifying when clients express their desire for continued collaboration.
