Adevinta Ignite 2024

Barcelona

Outline

Design and execute a two-day event in Barcelona for Adevinta that rewards individual staff performance but also provides a platform for learning, strengthens company culture and celebrates the company's successes.

Case

For the second year in a row, Iventions had the pleasure of overseeing the creative and production aspects of Adevinta’s Ignite. The event brings together 600 ‘Adevintans’ from across all their brands to learn, grow and celebrate together in the Catalan capital, Barcelona.

We were thrilled to welcome back a returning client to stage another edition of their event, building on previous successes to create an even more memorable experience for the guests. Adevinta, a global classifieds specialist, boasts 25 market-leading brands in key European markets, including Mobile.de, leboncoin and Marktplaats.

Our team crafted a new brand identity for this year’s edition, along with a bespoke website, managed internal communications, guest management, and revamped the entire schedule for this year’s edition in close collaboration with Adevinta's events and comms team.

Work process

As we orchestrated the successful previous edition of Ignite, we had a fantastic base to build from.

We began by creating a new event identity, including a logo, theme and colour palette, that was complementary to Adevinta’s branding. This year’s design centred around a pixel system, created to mirror Adevinta; ‘Many unique individuals, one harmonious whole.’

The internal communications strategy we designed and delivered in collaboration with Adevinta, focused on two key channels: the website and email. The event website was vital, as it provided all the necessary information about the event and awards.

Organising a multi-day, multi-venue event demands an immense amount of planning. While set-ups are underway in one location, dismantling is occurring in another, many moving parts and elements are at play. Ensuring that all suppliers and partners are in the right place at the right time required top-notch coordination and communication pre-event and throughout the event.

Guest management was a challenging aspect of the project, as 600 attendees were travelling to Barcelona from 10+ countries. The hotels chosen were clustered around the primary event location so attendees could walk to and from their accommodation and lessen the overall carbon footprint.

The primary event location, Hotel Porta Fira, was adorned with event branding and our AV teams installed interactive displays for attendees to enjoy videos from all of the finalists of the awards. The hotel’s conference space was seperated into three distinct rooms to host the talks, panel discussions, and even some of the team building activities.

The first day culminated in a welcome dinner at the iconic Barcelona venue, La Llotja de Mar, a historic building known for its stunning Gothic architecture and rich history. Day two concluded with an awards dinner and ceremony at the glamorous Finca Mas Solers, a Catalan mansion built in the late nineteenth-century Renaissance style.

This project exemplifies the capabilities of our in-house creative team working harmoniously with our project managers to deliver exceptional events.

After a year of planning with numerous stakeholders, our team and external partners successfully brought the event to life, thanks to exceptional coordination with our client.
