Coordinate a multi-day event with a focus on networking, team building, learning and celebration in Barcelona for Adevinta Ignite 2023. Featuring conferences, panel discussions, activities and culminating in a gala awards dinner.

Case

Adevinta is a global classifieds specialist with market-leading positions in key European markets. 'Ignite' is Adevinta's annual celebration of the employees who demonstrated exceptional achievement in the areas of Innovation and Sales, and representing the company's culture. The chosen location for this year’s edition, Adevinta Ignite 2023, was Barcelona. The multi-day event spanned numerous venues across the city. Ignite 2023 was the largest edition to date with 600 ‘Adevintans’ in attendance.

Iventions oversaw all the creative and production aspects of the event, crafting a unique brand identity, managing internal communications, guest management and meticulously planning the entire schedule in close collaboration with Adevinta's events and communications team.

Sustainability is one of Adevinta’s key values, so the utmost importance was placed on maintaining a strong commitment to keeping the event as environmentally friendly as possible.

Synergistic planning for a remarkable event showcase

Work process

We started with creating a new event identity including logo, theme and colour palette that was complementary to Adevinta’s own branding. The internal communications strategy contained three key elements: website, email and mobile app. The event website was vitally important as it contained all the necessary event and awards information. The app allowed attendees to register, sign-in to the event and customise their own schedule. Email campaigns were a mix of informative and promotional.

Guest management was a challenging aspect of the project, as 600 attendees were travelling to Barcelona from 10+ countries. The hotels chosen were clustered around the primary event location to minimise travel times and lessen the overall carbon footprint.

The primary event location, Hilton Diagonal Mar, was decorated with event branding and our AV teams installed interactive displays for attendees to engage with at their leisure. The conference space in the hotel held the talks, panel discussions and even some of the activities. A street food festival took place in an outdoor area adjacent to the hotel conference space. The gala awards dinner, ceremony and afterparty was held in the glamorous, Cavas Codorniu, which is located 40 minutes from Barcelona. For the ceremony we purpose-built a stage and a 30m2 multi-screen digital LED backdrop and created an immersive experience for the guest mixing sound, lights, visual effects and performances. Immediately after the Awards Ceremony and dinner, attendees made their way to the venue’s garden for an afterparty to remember. The lavish garden was transformed into an alfresco dancefloor that included an illuminated DJ booth, lighting and smoke machines.

As the event Adevinta Ignite 2023 was staged in Barcelona, it allowed us to take advantage of our vast collection of trusted local partners and suppliers to execute this project with the world-class standards we expect.

It was a great pleasure to work with the client on Ignite 2023! Their collaborative and open-minded approach to new creative ideas and recommendations eased the complexities of a project of this scale and made the creative challenges of each venue very enjoyable.
